One event card. One page that stays useful.
Create a static event image for your email and link it to a hosted page with the current details. Before the event, visitors can add a calendar snapshot. During it, the page can reveal the join action. Afterward, it can show a recording when you provide one.

A real render produced by DynaMail’s image pipeline.

How it works
1
Add the event details
Enter the title, schedule, timezone, host, and venue or online location. Optional join and recording URLs stay hidden until their relevant phase.
2
Design the email card
Choose a preset and customize one static PNG design. Reserved event fields keep the image and hosted page based on the same saved details.
3
Preview every phase
Check the card and hosted page before, during, and after the event, plus the cancelled state. Preview choices do not change the published page.
4
Publish and embed it
Publishing makes the unlisted event page, PNG, and calendar snapshot available. Embed the PNG as one link to that stable page.
The finished widget is a plain image URL inside a link — paste it into your template, or your email editor’s image block, like this:
Example embed snippet
<a href="https://dynamail.io/events/your-event-id"><img src="https://img.dynamail.io/widgets/YOUR-WIDGET-ID/render.png" width="600" height="300" alt="Online Session event details and schedule" /></a>YOUR-WIDGET-ID is a placeholder — every widget you create gets its own id. This widget uses a static PNG for broad email-client support. Use descriptive alt text so readers can understand the image when images are off or a screen reader reads the email.
The saved event details and current server-resolved phase supply the image and hosted page. Email clients and their image proxies may cache the PNG after fetching it. No script, no custom HTML, nothing for your email platform to strip out.
What it’s for
- Online sessions — share a calendar-ready invitation, then reveal the join action when the session starts
- Workshops — keep the schedule, timezone, venue, and current action together on one public page
- Community events — give readers one durable page for event details and later recordings
- Event updates — change the hosted page while keeping the same link in your email
How the event experience changes
The hosted page checks the current phase
The page refreshes around the start and end, periodically, and when a visitor returns to the tab. The server decides which current action is public.
Calendar downloads are snapshots
Each calendar file contains the event details saved at download time and links back to the stable page. Editing the widget does not update a calendar entry someone already imported.
Email applications may retain an older image
DynaMail renders the current status for new image requests, but an email application or image proxy may reuse a copy it fetched earlier. The linked hosted page carries the current action.
One saved event and public page
Event details, publication, status, and preview phase come from the saved widget rather than the production image URL.
Production URL parameters cannot replace event fields, switch its phase, or change its stable page destination.
Frequently asked questions
How does an event card work in email?
DynaMail renders your event design as a static PNG linked to a stable hosted page. The page shows the current event details and the action appropriate to the event phase.
Does adding the event confirm attendance?
No. Google Calendar and the downloadable calendar file help a visitor create a personal calendar entry. They do not register the visitor, confirm a save, or report attendance to the organizer.
Will an imported calendar event update automatically?
No. A downloaded calendar file is a snapshot of the event when it was downloaded, not a calendar subscription. The calendar entry links back to the hosted event page for the current status and action.
When does the join or recording link appear?
The public page reveals a join action only while the event is active, and a recording action only after it ends when you supplied one. Those future URLs are not included in earlier public page data.
Who can view a published event page?
Anyone with its link can open it. Event pages are unlisted and excluded from search indexing, but they are public pages rather than attendee-authenticated or private rooms.
What happens if I cancel or unpublish an event?
A cancelled event keeps a readable page with a cancellation notice and no calendar, join, or recording actions. Unpublishing removes the public page, image, and calendar download until you publish again.
