A clickable video thumbnail for your emails, free.
Paste a YouTube or Vimeo link. You get the video's still with a play button, as an image that links to the video. Readers tap it and the video opens on YouTube or Vimeo.

Watch, youtu.be, Shorts and Vimeo links all work.

Paste a link to see your thumbnail, rendered the way your email will get it.
A real render from DynaMail’s image pipeline. The still comes from YouTube or Vimeo, and the image links to the original video there.
How it works
When you paste a link, DynaMail looks the video up on YouTube or Vimeo and saves its still and title with your thumbnail, refreshing them before they are 30 days old. It draws the play button (and the title bar, if you want one) onto the still and serves the result as a JPG image. The still and title belong to the video’s owner; the image always links to the original video, and its alt text reads “Watch on YouTube” or “Watch on Vimeo”.
The snippet wraps that image in an <a> link to the video. There is no script and no video file in your email, so nothing gets stripped: readers see the thumbnail, tap it, and watch on YouTube or Vimeo.
Frequently asked questions
Can a video play inside an email?
Only in a few email clients, such as Apple Mail; Gmail and Outlook don't. A thumbnail that links to the video works wherever images do, and that's what this makes.
Which links work?
YouTube (watch, youtu.be, Shorts, embed) and Vimeo links to public or unlisted videos. Private videos, and some with embedding turned off, can't be looked up.
Does my email load anything from YouTube or Vimeo?
No. DynaMail fetches the still and serves your thumbnail itself; readers reach YouTube or Vimeo only when they tap through.
Do I need an account?
No. You get a permanent image URL and a snippet. Free generator thumbnails render up to 5,000 times a month; a free account raises that to 10,000 and keeps it editable.
How long do you keep the video details?
We keep the still's address and title for at most 30 days: after 25, the next image load looks them up again. If the video is gone, the image shows a dark card with the play button, and the link still points where it did.
